Frequently asked questions

What families ask us most before getting started.

How much does DiAlgo cost?

It has a 30-day free trial with no card. After that it costs €9.99 a month in Spain; the price may vary by country and store. You can cancel whenever you like from the App Store or Google Play.

Does every relative have to pay?

No. Only the person who manages the family pays. Other relatives and the older person use the app for free, and there is no limit on members.

Does the older person need a smartphone?

Yes. DiAlgo is an app for iPhone and Android and needs an internet connection. They do not need to know how to set it up: a relative does that from their own phone.

Does the “I need help” button call the emergency services?

No. It alerts the family, not the emergency services or a telecare provider. Where there is a risk of falls or medical emergencies, DiAlgo complements telecare but does not replace it.

Can the buttons be changed?

Yes. The administrator switches the built-in buttons on or off, reorders them and adds custom buttons with any wording.

Does medicine scanning work outside Spain?

The scanner looks up the code on the box in CIMA, Spain’s official medicines database. If a medicine is not found, it can be entered by hand.

Can I belong to more than one family?

Yes. You can belong to several families and switch between them inside the app.

Which languages is it in?

Spanish and Catalan. It is not available in English yet.

How do I delete my account?

From your profile, inside the app. If you pay the subscription, cancel it first in the App Store or Google Play: deleting the account does not stop the charge.
